Sitra has always been one of the more popular Guardians to praise thanks to the power of light when it comes to healing the ill and injured. Throughout every incarnation, lessons are left behind to teach those capable of harnessing the light to heal their fellow being. The understanding of the light energy that the world produces only continues to advance and many are eager to see what the full capability of it could be in the future.
However, the current incarnation of Sitra has become particularly fascinating due to beliefs about her origins. Most Guardians' origins are usually never determined, but citizens from the nation of Novine are certain that they know where she hailed from.
Novine itself is amongst the most powerful nations in the world, thanks to wealth and the strong backing of a military that's used for defense. The ruler of Novine was also amongst the first to institute the ban on blood magic research following the situation with Leon Nightfire and Tirian. Most notably, however, is that the nation is taken care of by the only known ruling family of dragons. Supposedly, it was founded by dragons many centuries ago, making it one of the oldest nations to this date.
As for the possible origins of Sitra, many citizens point to a missing member of the royal family; Serena "Serenity" Novine. The nickname was earned in her youth for her calm, caring demeanor towards the citizens of the nation. From her early years, the girl had been trained in the ways of light energy as her family always shared a deep connection to that aspect of Esphera. She was the latest in exceptional healers that her family produced. Frequently between all her studies and routines, she would visit the people living in the city surrounding the castle. She would speak with them, hear of their concerns and try to set things right if she was able to. Despite her youth, she was intelligent and wise beyond her years. Only to add to the charisma that she carried, she was growing into a beautiful dragon, quickly capturing the attention of potential suitors as she grew older. With her supposed to become queen in the future, there was much excitement in air, ready to explode when the coronation would finally take place. Novine was already in a prosperous state, but with her taking control, they believed that the nation would enter an era never seen before.
That coronation would never come. Serena suddenly vanished on the eve of her seventeenth birthday. There were no signs of a struggle or anything out of the ordinary. All that was found during the investigation was a letter that she left behind for her parents. In it, she thanked them for all they did and apologized that she could not become the next leader, but there were other plans that awaited her.
A vigorous search in and around the nation took place over the following couple of years, but there was never any sign of her. Word spread to other others nations as well in hopes of finding her, joined by a large reward for information on her whereabouts. There would be no fruit to all this labor. The daughter of a king and queen, the princess that cared so deeply for her people, vanished without a trace. No motive could be found. The nation would eventually move on, but her memory would always be there. A statue was erected in from of the castle as a memorial to who she was.
It was about ten years later when the idea that Sitra was the princess came to be known. Proposed by a combination of scholars on the royal family and the Guardians of Espherat, there was belief that Serena had become Sitra. This stems from reported sightings of the Guardian around the world when she is summoned. Details from these sightings say that the Guardian is much younger than the one that had been seen in previous years and carried an aura of beauty and peace about her whenever she appeared. She also had scales colored in pure white, just like Serena. Some scholars and local guards had continued to draw what they thought she would look as she grew older. Physical descriptions provided were similar to these concepts. However, there has yet to be a sighting of Sitra in Novine. Detractors of the theory believe that the people are just desperate enough to believe in such an idea. If she was really the lost princess, then why has she not returned to her home?
It's now an argument that continues to be fought. This is despite the counter-argument that according to the ancient order of scholars from Neish, Guardians are willing to abandon their titles, original names and personal connections to assume the roles they are destined for. It's not to say that they don't remember the lives they had prior to becoming a Guardian, but they must focus on their duties.
Regardless of the argument, it is obvious that there is a new incarnation of the Guardian that has taken the mantle. The light shines once more upon the world. Wounds are healed, illnesses are cured and the darkness within living beings is cleansed. Wielding a staff that continues to passed down amongst the Guardians of Light, she can see into living creatures and work to heal them from within using the light. As wielder of the purest of all elements, she continues to help clean the land of any corruption and teach the people how to continue improving the healing arts.
Whether she is Serena or not, Sitra continues the grand legacy that the Guardians before her have established.

A Guide to Writing Style
Writing Style - The Bottom Line
Words are like sunbeams. The more they are condensed, the deeper they burn. - Robert Southey
Prose is architecture, not interior decorating. - Ernest Hemingway
Writing style is made up of two things: cadence and variation.
Good style is clear, readable, and invisible. Its purpose is not to attract attention to itself but to transport readers into the world of your story. If your readers notice your style without purposefully intending to study it, your style needs to be impro

Writing tutorial
So you wanna write huh? You got your pen/ keyboard ready? well slow down there because the first rule of writing is to think.
Well screw that the first rule is to have inspiration, you need inspiration? Sit down at your tv watch your favourite tv show/movie or go read your favourite book, try and figure out why you like such and such genre and what parts you like about it. Yes it's copying but that's what writing is about, it's about taking things you like and putting them into your own plot. Ever heard of the book "A hero with a thousand faces?" there are only so many plots out there what's important is to mould it into your own creation. H

Writer's Workshop: Fleshing out Characters
December 14th, 2011.
Fleshing Out Your Characters.
Some people are good at writing people. They have no difficulties conceiving of them and don't balk at doing the legwork involved in writing interesting, well-developed characters. They know what is believable and what isn't, and have some idea of how readers may react to their cast.
Other people seem to have no idea what makes people tick, what makes characters interesting, and hope that piling on enough abilities or cool traits is a workable substitute for character development.
As you might have expected, this ramble is dedicated to not being the latter. Here are some tips and tricks f

A shorter entry in the series, but I may add more to it as I think on it. I primarily wanted to get this idea of her origin out of my head and typed out.
Enjoy!

Sitra seems so caring for the people, I can already see apart from being a great healer; she shows some leadership! Her background is so mysterious, I can foresee a story leading into an expedition and even a kidnapping of the princess herself! Very cool lengend here.
